Years ago

Cole Ruotsala was diagnosed with Adreno Cortical Carcinoma, an aggressive form of cancer. He fought and ultimately lost his eight week battle during which the Ruotsala's received notes of encouragement and hope that brightened their days.

The cards came

And then....

A smile was put on the face of his family.

Cole's parents thought

What if
others could encourage more kids, like they did Cole? There could be many more smiles.

And so one letter turned to two - and before long hundreds of letters were being sent all over the nation by kids to kids facing life threatening diseases.
